This work belongs to a larger international project funded by the European Commission through its Joule Programme. The partners participating in the project are Sydkraft Ab, Foster Wheeler Energia Oy, European Gas Turbines Ltd, VTT Energy, and Åbo Akademi University. The global aim of the project is to develop and test a new hot gas cleaning method for controlling NOx emissions from gasification power plants. The method is based on selective catalytic oxidation of the fuel-bound fixed-nitrogen to nitrogen (N2) in the gasification gas.
